Course Description EEX 6342

This course is designed to address current issues, instructional strategies, characteristics and trends affecting exceptional children and youth and the delivery of special education services. This course will involve graduate students in the process of identifying, analyzing and discussing issues in special education that impact upon the lives of exceptional children, youth, and families.  It is expected that each student have a copy of the text and the chapters to be discussed are read prior to each discussion. As a fully online graduate seminar, it is expected that students will prepare to be actively engaged in virtual discussions, "virtual chats" or discussion postings as assigned.
